Diane was a great resource in the purchase of my new condo.
 
She is very knowledgeable in the programs available to first time home buyers. If it had not been for her expertise in this area, my twelve year old son and I would still be living with my mother.
 
Diane was very thorough in explaining all the real estate documents/requirements to me so that I was able to understand all the steps I would be required to go through in purchasing a new home.
 
Through her persistence we were able to find the perfect property. The transaction was very smooth because of her detail oriented workstyle.
 
I feel that Diane is a valuable asset to the Real Estate profession in Santa Clara County and I will recommend her to family and friends.

She puts a great deal of energy into providing the highest level of customer service and maintained a consistently positive attitude throughout the incredibly difficult task of looking for an affordable "dream home' in Silicon Valley. Her understanding of effective strategies for making offers stand out impressive; it's clear she's a very capable professional.
 
Diane always gave us the feeling that she cared very much about finding just the right house for us, and never pushed us to further her own agenda or improve her commission. There is something very special about Diane. Perhaps it's that she risks being personal and human with clients. Whatever it is, she made a lasting impression on us and we have already recommended her to several friends looking for houses. Having worked with a number of other agents in the area before we found Diane, we can tell you she is a cut above most of the other people in her profession.

Diane Schmitz sold my home in Los Altos last June and also represented me in the purchase of my new home in Cupertino. I have know Diane for years because our daughters played softball together. I contacted Diane when I was ready to sell my home because I trusted her and knew she would see me through the process professionally and with sensitivity.
 
Diane saw to it that my home presented well and it sold within a week of being listed. I would definitely use Diane's services when I buy or sell a home in the future. She works hard, is conscientious and a pleasure to work with.

I am delighted to recommend Diane Schmitz to you. My husband and I moved to California from the east coast last summer. We rented an apartment in Palo Alto for the first six months so that we could get to know the neighborhoods and get some sense of real estate prices (actually surreal estate prices, as I like to call it in these parts!). During the winter break I began to do the research on the project and that's when I discovered Diane. I had been calling various realtors in the area. I remember telling my husband that I could tell from the phone calls alone that Diane was by far the most professional one I had come across.
 
When we met with Diane she drove us around various properties. Other realtors simply sent us email listings and told us to go look at them ourselves and let them know if we liked anything from the outside, in which case they would arrange to show us the inside. One of them actually said that she only needs to sell six houses a year to make a very good living. It was clear that some of them didn't put much effort into it. Diane is just the opposite. She took us around in her car to anything we were remotely interested in. We got the place we finally bought only because Diane was willing to show us the inside at 9:00 PM on a Sunday on a holiday weekend when she had just returned from a long trip. Afterwards she took us to her office, late that night, to write up the contract. If it hadn't been for that, we would undoubtedly have missed the place. She also took the trouble to get to know us and our lifestyle so that she would have a sense of what we would like or dislike. While it's in any realtor's interest to make a quick sale, Diane on the other hand told us when she thought a house was not suitable for us. As were looking at one place, she stated "this one is not for you guys, let's go."
 
Throughout the process Diane took great care of us and answered our many dumb questions. We were first-time buyers. She continued to work closely with us even after the purchase was completed. On our closing date, which was my husband's birthday, she put balloons and cookies in our new place. On our moving day, she brought lunch for us and the movers. When my father passed away two months later, she sent a sympathy card.
She grew up in this area and has an extensive knowledge of the options whether your budget is large or small. The inspector that she recommended was also fabulous.
 
I recommend Diane to you with the highest of praise and the deepest of confidence.

Over the past four years, Diane Schmitz has helped me to purchase several homes within the bay area and in the valley. Diane Schmitz sold our Los Altos Hills home in the face of a deteriorating market and after others had failed. Her expert people skills and down-to-earth approach made the whole experience as pleasant as it could have been, and the sale left both ourselves and the buyers very happy with the outcome. We had tried working with "big name" real estate people on this sale with no success, and found that it was Diane's tenacity and attention to detail that carried the sale through.
